This tool ships with a curated offline dataset of common vendor prefixes. Click Load full registry to import the complete, official IEEE list (30,000 plus vendors).
Load the full IEEE vendor registry
Our built-in registry is limited to a curated list of common, publicly known vendor prefixes (144 entries). IEEE, the organization that officially assigns these vendor codes, publishes the complete public registry (~30,000+ entries) as a free CSV file.
Because browsers block background scripts from reading files directly off IEEE's server, this is a quick two-step manual process instead:
1Download the file from IEEE
Click below to open IEEE's official CSV in a new tab, then save it to your computer (right-click → Save As, or use your browser's download prompt).
Choose the CSV file you just saved. It will be read and processed entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Optional: IEEE also publishes smaller MA-M and MA-S registries covering additional newer/smaller vendors. You can select multiple files at once in step 2 above.
